2020 Chevy Silverado Review
THE STRONGEST, MOST ADVANCED SILVERADO EVER
In 2020, it’s safe to say that the Silverado is a vehicle made for adventure. With “Best-in-Class” cargo capacity this year, the latest Silverado is more ready to take you, your belongings, and your friends and family for an outing than ever before. This full-size truck gets some additional updates as well, making it a standout choice if you’re in the market for an overall reliable pickup truck in the latest model year. The latest Silverado gets some standard updates across all trims, and it also has some trim-specific updates to note as well. A refreshed interior, more trailering technology and standard trailer equipment, and some updates to the Silverado’s mechanical system are just a few features you can look forward to in the latest model year. The Silverado also increases its maximum towing capacity to 13,400, making it an excellent option for a work truck.
WHAT’S NEW FOR THE 2020 CHEVY SILVERADO?
Hauling and trailering is no problem with the latest Chevy Silverado, which comes with some new features to help you safely, comfortably, and accurately tow even the most massive loads. For the first time, you can enjoy a panoramic view of your truck bed and the trailer with more trailering technology and cameras. Collectively, an impressive number of cameras offer up to 15 views. You can also enjoy the Bed View Camera, which is a separate panoramic camera available through the Technology Package. The cameras are also paired with more trailer-specific safety technology, including camera-based Adaptive Cruise Control, which is a convenient feature for your Silverado. The 2020 Silverado also gets some adjustments to its mechanical configuration. Select trims, including the Custom Trail Boss, RST, and LT, now get a 6.2L V8 engine with an optional 10-speed automatic transmission. A 10-speed transmission is now standard on the High Country 4WD, and the LT Trail Boss trims. These trims are outfitted with a 5.3L V8 engine that has a Dynamic Fuel Management plan. An eight-speed transmission, which is linked to a 2.7L turbocharged engine, powers the Custom and Work Truck trims. The LT, RST, LTZ, and High Country get a turbocharged diesel engine with a 10-speed transmission.
Eight trim levels are available in the 2020 Chevy Silverado family. All trims are available in several body styles, which include a regular cab, double cab, and crew cab design. Several packages and add-on features are either standard or optional for many of the trims.
